Advertising

The advertising policy governs Rutgers' approach to communicating directly with key audiences through paid advertisements. The policy authorizes the office of University Brand and Marketing (formerly Strategic Communications) to review advertisement for the university to ensure that the university is presented to the public in a consistent and coherent manner.

All Rutgers advertising must be reviewed and approved in advance of placement through the review process with the exception of:

  • Job postings
  • Legal notices
  • Classified advertisements
  • Advertisements in campus media
  • Institutional Review Board-approved advertising
